It is everyone’s dream to smell pleasant on all occasions. Body odor is considered to have a very negative impact on one’s personality. Imagine going to a party with body stinking with sweat. No one would even feel like coming close to you.
Moreover it is considered to be very bad manners to go to any place with body or mouth emitting foul smell. It also becomes detrimental in any one’s success for no one would even feel like coming close to such a person, leave aside getting involved with him in any professional relation.
One sure way of defeating this menace of body odor is by using men’s cologne. However one should exercise great caution before one starts using men’s colognes. One must always be very particular about which cologne one actually wants to use.
If proper care is not taken while selecting the colognes it would merely be wastage of money, and the whole idea of using the colognes would come a cropper. One should not forget that appearance of a person lasts very long, one might forget one’s name but the appearance and personality of any person is remembered for along time.
Though cologne is so very important for everyone it is very sad to see that people don’t think much while purchasing colognes. Mostly colognes are purchased on the basis of its price, the shape of the bottle or on its smell.
Shopping for men’s colognes can actually be very easy. First find out what kind of people the cologne is targeted at. This would give a very clear picture whether you fall in that category and therefore would buy it or not. The companies market their products to the type of customers it is designed for. Therefore if one is looking for a particular thing in any particular brand of cologne the advertisements of the colognes would help him in deciding whether he should go for it or not.
One would be surprised to know that colognes actually have three different scents. It is wholly possible that one selects cologne on the basis of first scent only. This first scent is sharp, fresh and is suppose to grab attention.
After a few moments when the first scent has evaporated the main scent comes through, one probably does not notice it because one has himself applied it, but after about ten minutes to an hour from the initial scent this scent smoothes out and gives the biggest impression. After the main scent has evaporated, the remaining scent is known as base note. This is subtle, lingering scent and is mostly richer or deeper than the initial scent.
Purchasing men’s colognes can be a great fun, though it can also be a tough exercise because of the number of products available. Buying the cologne on the basis of first impression is not a bad idea as one himself has to use it. However since others are also affected by it one must try the abovementioned tests before buying it.
